Welcome to TNG Wiki!
This site is a community effort to organize extended help files for the latest version of TNG by Darrin Lythgoe.
- There are several ways to find information in TNG Wiki. The items in the left panel are a good place to start.
- The Help link in the Navigation section shows how the site is organized, and how to create new articles.
- Try the Search facility. Put your keyword in the searchbox at left, then click the Go or Search button.
- Click Go - or Enter on keyboard - to take you to the article, if it exists.
- Click Search to search the text of all pages in TNG Wiki. Then choose from the list of pages returned.
- Use the Categories section. If you click on a [+] sign it will expand to show the list of articles grouped under that category. If you click on a [-] sign it will contract the list.
- Alternately, you can view a list of All Pages in the TNG Wiki.
Editing Pages
Any registered user can add and edit pages. The site is a living document and, given time, will become a comprehensive and valuable free handbook that keeps pace with TNG developments. Its value depends upon many of us contributing in a cooperative endeavour.
At times it may contain broken links and outdated information, in which case every person who has a login for this wiki can act as editor and make corrections. If you need to contact a contributor:
- View the History tab for the page concerned, as this reveals the login usernames of the persons who edited the page. You can generally get an idea of the person to contact just by looking at the list, and you can examine page history differences if deeper research is needed.
- Leave a message (edit) on the Talk page of the relevant username, and this will trigger an email to the person concerned (provided that person has enabled emails to be sent when their user talk page has been changed - this setting is highly likely, so it's worth a try).

TNG Wiki User List
As of 08 Feb, 2010 the TNGwiki has 185 registered users and the site has had over 296,029 + page views.» for current statistics
- Hopefully there will be many more TNG users that will request logins and assist in adding content for our TNG Wiki.
- If you created an account before 27 Sep 2008 ...please edit your user profile and put some kind of user information such as a link to your TNG web site in your user information (i.e. Sbreyn, Reverendspam, bgaugler, Ken Roy, Bennever , Chuckfilteau, TheKiwi, Xray).
- Note that in order to contribute and edit on TNG Wiki you need to Request an account.
Since 11 Dec 2008 the User:records are created when your account request is approved using the ConfirmAccount extension using your Real Name and your TNG web site. You can edit your User pages, but please leave your real name and web site as part of the page. Thanks --Ken Roy 17:23, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
