Purpose of the mod
This mod collapses the children section on a person's page. It is of course expandable.
Developer
This mod was developed by Jeff Robison. View all mods by Jeff.
Now supported by the TNG community with
- Ron Krzmarzick providing the lead for code changes
- Ken Roy providing the restricted downloads
Requirements
- A working TNG installation.
- A backup of all affected files (see the list in the summary in the upper right corner of the page)
- An installed current version of the Mod Manager.

Conflicts
The following observed with TNG v15 by Rob Severijns. Investigation pending.

Note the install order requirements. The Collapse Family Children mod conflicts with both Insert_children_gender_v15.0.0.0 & Show_children_spouses_v14.0.3.1 The Collapse Family Children mod can be installed if the other mods are installed. If installed prior to Insert_children_gender_v15.0.0.0 & Show_children_spouses_v14.0.3.1 both mods show a Cannot Install. If installed after Insert_children_gender_v15.0.0.0 & Show_children_spouses_v14.0.3.1 then the 1st one needs a cleanup and after that shows a Cannot Install and the last one doesn’t show a conflict. If either combination is installed it generates PHP errors loading the person page. |

Installation
- Uninstall and delete previous version of this mod (if installed)
- Download the appropriate zip file as shown in the mod summary in the upper right corner of the page.
- Extract the file from the downloaded zip file into the mods folder or FTP the extracted file to your mods folder.
- Follow the normal automated installation for Mod Manager, as shown in the example Mod Manager - Installing Config Files to install the mod.
In the event of a problem
- Try using the Mod Manager Remove capability
- Copy the backup of the affected files back to your TNG directory
- Contact me through My Mod Support.
Uninstalling the mod
If you want to completely Remove (uninstall) this mod and any tables if created, you should
- click the Uninstall button to uninstall the mod
- click the Delete button to delete the config file from the mods folder.
Upgrade
- Uninstall and eventually Delete the current Mod.
- Proceed as for an installation with the new Mod.
