Purpose of the mod

Version 0 : Sends an email to the administrator when a user or administrator logs in or if the login attempt fails.
Version 1 : Don't send if administrator logs in unless he/she is designated via the admin_edituser.php page (new checkbox). See snapshot

Developer

This mod was developed by Lincoln "Linc" Haymaker (deceased Aug 2022) and Michel Kirsch.

Requirements

• A working TNG installation.
• A backup of all affected files (see the list in the summary in the upper right corner of the page)
• An installed current version of the Mod Manager.

File created by this Mod

in your 'extensions' path a text file containing the names of the admins to be "tracked" : Email_Admin_Login.txt
If this file is deleted, it will be re created as empty file and you'll lost your admins list.

Installation

1. Download the appropriate zip file as shown in the mod summary in the upper right corner of the page.
2. Extract the file from the downloaded zip file into the mods folder or FTP the extracted file to your mods folder.
3. Follow the normal automated installation for Mod Manager, as shown in the example Mod Manager - Installing Config Files to install the mod.

In the event of a problem

• Try using the Mod Manager Remove capability
• Copy the backup of the affected files back to your TNG directory
• Contact us through the TNG Community Forums.

Uninstalling the mod

If you want to completely Remove (uninstall) this mod and any tables if created, you should

1. click the Uninstall button to uninstall the mod
2. click the Delete button to delete the config file from the mods folder.

Functioning

To designate an administrator whose log in must be "followed", go to Admin >> Users >> Edit user and check the box 'Send me a mail if he/she logs in to the site'.

Languages

Originally intended for English, French and Dutch.
To add another language, translate this :

$admtext['sendhimmail'] = "Send me a mail if he/she logs in to the site";
