Introduction

This modification changes the export as option for the TNG Media Collections for

• Documents
• Headstones
• Histories

The RootsMagic mod is a sample mod that can be used to create similar mods for other desktop genealogy programs who only recognize certain media types. Since RootsMagic only recognizes _TYPE PHOTO, the mod changed the export as value to PHOTO for the above three TNG Media Collections.

Requirements

• a working TNG installation
• an installed current version of the Mod Manager
• a backup of the mediatypes.php file

Automated Installation

1. Download the appropriate mod for your TNG version and desktop genealogy program from the download links in the status area in the upper right.
2. Extract the appropriate zip file to your TNG mods folder.
3. Follow the normal automated installation for Mod Manager, as shown in the example Mod Manager - Installing Config Files to install the appropriate mod for your desktop genealogy program.
