Import Improvements TNG v14
From Darrin's TNG V14 Major Changes
Import: The inner workings of the GEDCOM import have been improved to make the process much more robust. Unresponsiveness issues have been addressed, and "resume" operations should be seamless. Also, support has been added for some GEDCOM 7.0 features. Media included with a zipped GEDCOM file can now be extracted at the time of import.

Item 24. General Settings: The Backups and GEDCOM folders can now be designated as residing in the "config" path (you must manually move the folders).
Item 27. Import: SNOTES are now supported (GEDCOM 7.0).
Item 28. Import: Media can now be included in and imported from a zip or gdz file. Zipped media files will be extracted to the Photos folder. Subfolder structures will be maintained (GEDCOM 7.0).
Item 29. Import: SDATE dates (sorting) are now supported (GEDCOM 7.0).
Item 30. Import: The import process has been upgraded. Unresponsiveness issues have been addressed, and "resume" operations will be seamless.
Item 30. Import: A warning message about prefixes & import settings has been added to the Import page
Item 81. Secondary Processes: The name has been changed to "Post-import Utilities".
GEDCOM in Config Path

TNG 14 allows you to save your GEDCOM files outside of the web server addressability if you use the Config Path option to save your configuration files. You need to check the box for Store in Config Pth and then manually move your .ged files |
