Requirements
- A working TNG installation.
- A backup of all affected files (see the list in the summary in the upper right corner of the page)
- An installed current version of the Mod Manager.

Installation
- Uninstall and delete previous version of this mod (if installed)
- Download the appropriate zip file as shown in the mod summary in the upper right corner of the page.
- Extract the file from the downloaded zip file into the mods folder or FTP the extracted file to your mods folder.
- Follow the normal automated installation for Mod Manager, as shown in the example Mod Manager - Installing Config Files to install the mod.
In the event of a problem
- Try using the Mod Manager Remove capability
- Copy the backup of the affected files back to your TNG directory
- Contact Carlos Heuser.
Uninstalling the mod
If you want to completely Remove (uninstall) this mod and any tables if created, you should
- click the Uninstall button to uninstall the mod
- click the Delete button to delete the config file from the mods folder.
Upgrade
- Uninstall and eventually Delete the current Mod.
- Proceed as for an installation with the new Mod.
Visualization
By default TNG displays the event map and its legend side by side on the person page, as shown below.
However, in the case of a smartphone or a tablet, where the screen width is limited, the map legend may be cut off and not displayed correctly. The figure below shows the same map as displayed on an iPhone.
The purpose of this mod is to move the legend under the event map on mobile devices. On other devices (desktops, laptops,...) the map and its legend are displayed as usual with TNG. The figure below shows the same page when displayed on an IPhone with the mod installed.
Parameter
A parameter may be used to restrict the mod behavior to smartphones leaving the default display for tablets. This may be useful for tablets with large screens.
The value of the parameter may be changed by using Options in ModManager.
Using the mod on iPads
Since at least IPadOS v16, by default the Ipad presents itself to the Web server as a Macintosh running MacOS and not as a tablet. In this case, the mod will not work and the legend will be shown side-by-side with the map (TNG standard behavior).
However by disabling the following option on the IPad
Settings -> Safari -> Request Desktop Website -> All websites
the IPad will present itself as a tablet and the mod will be applied.
