Introduction
The Mod Support Request Form (MSRF) is a special purpose contact form originally developed by Jeff Robison to facilitate user feedback to mod developers. I modified it for my own use several years ago. Now that Jeff no longer supports his original work, I offer my upgraded version, which I will maintain as long as I can.
The mod installs the support form on the mod developer's website. It is accessed via a support link on the mod's TNGWiki download page. Because it has the same name and syntax as Jeff's origial mod, developers will not have to edit all their TNGWiki pages to make the switch.
Mod language support is taken directly from the mod support folder. It currently supports English and French. Additional languages may be added by creating and adding the file sr_text.php to an appropriate language folder in the mod support file. If you will pass these on to me I will include it in the MSRF mod.
New
The MSRF mod adds a list of email addresses for BCC copies of the submitted form, optionally entered using the mod's Options Editor. Blind CC to user-specified recipients are activated with a new URL query string element -- &cc=1. The URL determines if BCC copies will be sent or not, and may be useful if you have partners assisting with the mod.
Using the mods Options Editor you may choose to require a TNG captcha for entry and/or an integrated form submission captcha.
Syntax for the TNGWiki link follows these examples:
https://example.com/mod_support.php?mod=Living_Color_Mod https://example.com/mod_support.php?mod=Living_Color_Mod&cc=1
The second example will BCC the submitted form to the list of addresses you provide with the mod Options Editor.
Of course you must replace example.com with your own domain.
- Note. Because it is passed in the URL, the name of the mod must be a single string, for example, Mod_Support_Request_Form. The form removes the underscores between words to display it.
