Purpose of the mod

This mod will add an options to the Map Settings dialog to allow map zooming by using the scroll wheel of the mouse.

Developer

This mod was developed by Bart 'Roebie' Degryse from an idea by Sam Clark and code by Roger Moffat.
Support v9.0.0.1-v11.0.2.3 by Ken Roy.

Current support by Brett.

Requirements

• A working TNG installation.
• A backup of all affected files (see the list in the summary in the upper right corner of the page)
• An installed current version of the Mod Manager.

Installation

1. Uninstall and delete previous version of this mod (if installed)
2. Download the appropriate zip file as shown in the mod summary in the upper right corner of the page.
3. Extract the file from the downloaded zip file into the mods folder or FTP the extracted file to your mods folder.
4. Follow the normal automated installation for Mod Manager, as shown in the example Mod Manager - Installing Config Files to install the mod.
5. If you also use the Person Map mod make sure you have installed v9.x.0.5 or v9.1.0.6a
6. Go to Admin >> Setup >> Configuration >> Map Settings.
7. Set the new option Allow zooming with mouse wheel to your liking. # Don't forget to press the Save button.
8. If the mod doesn't behave as expected, please clear your browser's cache as a first measure:
   1. Log out of your TNG website
   2. Clear your browser's cache
   3. Close and reopen your browser
   4. Log in into your TNG website

In the event of a problem

• Try using the Mod Manager Remove capability
• Copy the backup of the affected files back to your TNG directory
• Contact us through the TNG Community Forums.

Uninstalling the mod

If you want to completely Remove (uninstall) this mod and any tables if created, you should

1. click the Uninstall button to uninstall the mod
2. click the Delete button to delete the config file from the mods folder.

Upgrade

• Uninstall and eventually Delete the current Mod.
• Proceed as for an installation with the new Mod.

Without the mod installed This is how the Admin >> Setup >> Configuration >> Map Settings page looks in the default TNG 9 template 3 layout.
With the mod installed Once you have this mod installed you can see the new option added.
