Introduction

This mod was developed for administrators to determine registration requirements.
Allows enabling complex passwords that follow GDPR guidelines.

Advantages

Change the minimum user name from 4 to 50 characters
Change the minimum password from 8 to 64 characters
Option to require a complex password using a combination of upper and lower case characters, numbers and symbols
Option to require a phone number
Option to require an address
If auto-approve registration is NOT enabled a notice appears at the top of the page
Options to change the color, size and blink the notice

Requirements

• A working TNG installation.
• A backup of all affected files (see the list in the summary to the right)
• An installed current version of the Mod Manager.

Conflicts and Issues

New Account Form Mod Both mods modify the phone number code.

Installation

1. Uninstall and delete previous version of this mod (if installed)
2. Download the appropriate zip file as shown in the mod summary in the upper right corner of the page.
3. Extract the file and folder from the downloaded zip file into the mods folder or FTP the extracted file and folder to your mods folder.
4. Follow the normal automated installation for Mod Manager, as shown in the example Mod Manager - Installing Config Files to install the mod.

In the event of a problem

• Try using the Mod Manager Remove capability.
• Copy the backup of the affected files back to your TNG directory.
• Retry installing mod.
• Contact us through the TNG Community Forums.

Uninstalling the mod

If you want to completely Remove (uninstall) this mod, you should

1. click the Uninstall button to uninstall the mod then select delete.

Upgrade

• Uninstall and eventually Delete the current Mod.
• Proceed as for an installation with the new Mod.

• Require Phone Number
• Require Address

If auto-approve registrations are disabled, the following options are available

• Specify the color for the registration notification
• Specify the font size for the registration notification
• Blink the registration notification
