Ambox notice.png The latest version of this mod uses the guidelines for TNG v12+ cust_text.php files. If you are using TNGv12+, and any cust_text.php file in this mod is marked with a Bad Target error, you need to update your cust_text.php files before you can install this mod. [Show instructions]

If you upgraded to TNGv12+, and did not update your cust_text.php files as instructed in the upgrade readme script, then you must use the TNG Mod Manager to update them. To do so:

  1. Go to Mod Manager, and select its "Recommended Updates" tab.
    (If the "Recommended Updates" tab is not visible, then go to the Mod Manager Options tab, select "Display Settings", and turn on the "Recommended Updates" tab.)
  2. Click the "Update" button in the "Recommended Updates" tab.
    Installed mods do not interfere with the update, and if you already have (or think you may have) run this update, it will not hurt for you to run it again.

Summary Displays a Me-button in relateform.php when the logged in user is not Person 2 but is registered in the current tree.

Preface

This modification was suggested by one of our users who's got a 6-digit ID.

Purpose of the mod

If a logged in user uses the Relationship calculator and is also registered in the current tree the mod will:

  • Insert the user as Person 2 if there is no one else
  • Insert a Me button between the input field and the Search... button if another person is already Person 2

The button is clicked to enter the user's ID into the input field.

If the user is not registered in the current tree the mod has no effect.

Requirements

TNG version: ≥ 10.1.0
TNG version: ≥ 9.1.0
  • A working TNG installation.
  • A backup of all affected files (see the list below)
  • An installed current version of the Mod Manager (is already included in TNG)

Installation

  1. Download the appropriate zip file as shown in the summary in the upper right corner of the page.
  2. Extract the file from the downloaded zip file into the mods folder or FTP the extracted file to your mods folder.
  3. Follow the normal automated installation for Mod Manager, as shown in the example Mod Manager - Installing Config Files to install the mod.

In the event of a problem

  • Try using the Mod Manager Remove capability
  • Copy the backup of the affected files back to your TNG directory
  • Contact us through the TNG forum.

Custom Text Additions

Note: The config file includes the English language custom text.
The mod also includes German and Swedish texts if they are present in your system.
For other languages you can modify the config file to add the custom text or manually add to whatever language you like.

Uninstalling the mod

If you want to completely Remove (uninstall) this mod you should

  1. click the Remove button to uninstall the mod and then
  2. click the Delete button to delete the config file from the mods folder.
