Purpose of the Mod
To install French language strings for the TextPlus Charts mod, which must be installed for this mod to accomplish anything. It is separate from TextPlus Charts only because the French language support files caused the TextPlus Charts zip file to exceed the Wiki's size limits.

TextPlus Charts - The TextPlus Charts-French mod does not install the TextPlus Chart programs. It only provides French language files.
Version 17b of this mod can work with versions 17 through 17b of TextPlus Charts, but if you install the latest version of TextPlus Charts, you should also install the latest version of this mod.
Installation
The only changes that this mod makes to existing TNG files are that it adds up to three strings to the French and French-UTF8 cust_text.php. All other strings are defined in mod-specific files, as described below. The strings saved to the cust_text.php files are
- The translated version of the "Text+" link label in the various ancestor and descendant charts. (The label is placed among the native chart program hyperlinks in the "Inner Menu" of each chart program.)
- Two strings that serve as pointers that tell the Text+ chart programs where to find help files.

Requirements
- A working TNG installation.
- An installed current version of the Mod Manager.
- You should backup files listed in the panel on the right.
Procedure
- Remove and delete previous version of this mod.
- Backup the files updated by this mod. They are listed in the panel at the upper right.
- Download the .zip file, Extract its .cfg file to the mods folder.
- Follow the normal automated installation for Mod Manager, as shown in the example Mod Manager - Installing Config Files.

Language Files
The TextPlus Charts mod has three sets of language-specific files.
- Ordinary language strings (a UTF8 file and an ISO file). What is not ordinary about the language strings in TextPlus Charts is that (as in most of my mods), I no longer add strings to the ever-growing cust_text.php files. (Read about why I handle language strings this way and about how to override the mod's language strings.)
- Help files. There are three Text+ help files, one for general help, one specific to the Text+ Ancestor Chart, and one specific to the Text+ Descendant Chart.
- Screenshots. The help files (and one pop-up help message within the application) utilize screenshots, which can be customized for each language.
As with native TNG language strings and help files, English versions are used if translated versions are not available.
French is the only language that has its own version of all three help files and all of the screenshots. Note that TNG's admin program help files are not translated into most TNG languages, so it is not surprising that not all of the the Text+ help files are translated. Also, screenshots have not necessarily have been taken for languages that do have their own help files.
