Ashleigh Mitchell has been interested in family history since 1967, when a distant cousin wrote a letter addressed to "the original Mitchell family of Carlsbad, NM". One of my cousins happened to be a Post Office employee, and shared the letter with the rest of the family. She included Family Group Sheets for her family, as several for my paternal line, some of which had erroneous information ("Jasmiour" instead of "Jeremiah", for instance, and included a supposed 3x Great grandmother that no one was ever able to find. Turns out the name listed was actually a 2x Great Aunt, and daughter of the actual 3x Great Grandmother, but, hey, that's what genealogy is all about, right?)
