Setup General Settings - Cemeteries

The default Cemeteries option is Not to suppress Unknown entities (city, county, etc.)

Setup General Settings - Cemeteries

You may want to consider changing the option to Yes so that Unknown is not displayed on the Cemeteries page.

Add Cemetery Record

If you add cemeteries and do not specify all the entity names for the cemetery location, TNG now offers an option to suppress the unknown entity (or entities).

Therefore the location entities will display on the Cemeteries and Headstones page differently based on whether the Suppress Unknown option is set to:

No County name specified

Add Cemetery with no County Name

Cemetery was added with No County name specified.

No City name specified

Add Cemetery with no City Name

Cemetery was added with No City name specified.

Suppress Unknown set to No

Add Cemetery with no City Name

If you set Suppress Unknown to No or left it at the default, then TNG will display the word Unknown in place of the unspecified city, county, or other location entity.

Suppress Unknown set to Yes

If you set Suppress Unknown to Yes, then TNG will not display the word Unknown in place of the unspecified city, county, or other location entity.

Unknown County

Cemetery County not specified

If you already have cemeteries associated with Counties, the new cemetery added without a county name, will now show with a City Name at the same level as the county name.

Suppressing the Unknown entity and omitting the County name might now be an option that allows you to enter cemeteries so they display by City on the Cemeteries and Headstones page.

Unknown City

Cemetery City not specified

If you already have cemeteries associated with Cities within a County, the new cemetery added without a city name, will now show with at the same level as the city name.
