Sorting

Would it be horribly difficult to add a sorting option to the mod? Maybe make it sort ascending automatically with a toggle to sort descending (since no one is ever satisfied :) )

I'm assuming you're referring to the Source Occurrences Mod. Unfortunately, I do not think I can do that. I looked around and didn't see another instance where a table like the Sources one was sortable, so I don't have anything to base this change on. Adding sort functionality to a table usually involves adding Javascript functionality, so it is not something done easily. A better idea might be to request this functionality be added to all tables in a future release of TNG.--Majdan 10:20, 9 May 2012 (CDT)

I was indeed talking about Source Occurrences Mod. I keep forgetting that most mod creators have more than one. :) If I want to do it myself (without making it toggle), I'd want to edit the query on line 33 of the cfg file to add count to the ORDER BY clause, yes? And I'd have to uninstall the mod, make the change, then reinstall to to it by the book as well, correct? Thanks for the response.

So it appears that TNG 13 does indeed allow some table sorting, but in particular for sorting sources, a sort on the count column would be very beneficial (especially when rectifying unused sources). Can this be accomplished by modding the cfg file as suggested above, or must it be done by changes to TNG and it's tables coding? --Jim Davis (talk) 18:40, 5 September 2023 (CDT)

Sources Count

It seems that installation of this Mod (Sources Occurrence) causes the total number of Sources to be doubled on the line that says "Matches: 1 to 50 of 5,182", when the database in fact has only 2,591 Sources in it, as shown when the Mod is removed. - Roger

Places Count

Hi.. I like your Sources Count mod. Is it possible to do a similar one for Places count? Or have you done that but maybe just not posted it yet? :) Thanks. - John

Please include this in a future Mod update.
