Introduction

This mod eliminates the Event Map column and moves it to a section header and eliminates the Google Earth column in the event table section when in mobile or tablet mode

If you are currently, using the Person Map mod, you should uninstall the Person Map mod and use

  • Mobile Individual Page Map - Person Map version of the mod

If you are currently using any of the following mods, you need to update to the new version to eliminate the conflict with this mod:

The following mobiles mods are now part of TNG and therefore obsolete with TNG versions indicated:

This mod was developed by Ken Roy based on work Gustave Dahl had done on his site.

Thanks to Roger Moffat for testing and discovering conflicts with current Google Maps mods.

Requirements

  • a working TNG installation
  • an installed current version of the Mod Manager
  • a backup of the getperson.php file

If you are currently using any of the following mods, you need to update to the new version to eliminate the conflict with this mod:

If you were using the Person Map mod, the make sure you download that version of the mod.

Automated Installation

  1. Download the appropriate mod for your TNG version and desktop genealogy program from the download links in the status area in the upper right.
  2. Extract the appropriate zip file to your TNG mods folder.
  3. Follow the normal automated installation for Mod Manager, as shown in the example Mod Manager - Installing Config Files to install the appropriate mod for your desktop genealogy program.

  • Event Map column takes up real estate
  • Events are truncated

  • Event Map is shown as a section heading
  • Google Map displays in a wider area
  • Event table is displayed on the screen
  • Google Earth column is removed
