My name is Andreas Helweg and I live in North Germany.

I started genealogy over 10 years ago, but then took a long break due to my job. Now that I have retired, I am devoting more time to this exciting topic again. First of all, the technical framework conditions have to be created and some adjustments by the available mods are to be built in - I am still working on it right now... As I worked as a data protection officer for a large German company for at least the last ten years of my professional career, my demand for my own website is of course also that the necessary legal requirements are met and data security is guaranteed.

Then there are still various corrections and additions to be made to the data, so I certainly still need some time to maintain all the data and fix some mistakes/ errors... So there is quite a bit of work ahead of me.

I host my genealogy website privately on my own server at home.
