I use mySQL Query browser which is open source here - Download MySQL Query Browser
but if you are most comfortable with MS Access you don't have to create a parallel database, you can just use Access to connect to your mySQL database (I do this also when I'm in a hurry). It takes a bit to set it up but it's not hard. You need to install some ODBC drivers that will tell Access how to communicate with mySQL. Here are some directions - using MS Access with MySQL Once it's all set up you just create a new access database, then link all your tables from mysql and you're set.
