Critical Bug Fixes For TNGv14

The following are Mod Manager configuration files (mods) with critical fixes for TNG and Mod Manager errors that are deemed too important to wait until the next release of TNG.

If you are having a problem with TNG and/or Mod Manager, click on the name of the fix below associated with your version of TNG to download the mod package. Open the zip file and place the contents into your mods directory, then navigate your browser to the TNG Admin / Mod Manager page and install it. It is a good idea to download and install all the fixes for your current version of TNG.

If these updates don't resolve your problem, please raise the issue on the TNG userlist2. If you have not joined the list, here is the guidance from the TNG site:

Fixes will be incorporated into the next TNG upgrade so you won't have to install them again.

Mods

Fixes may be in the form of mods with links for easy downloading. Unpack the downloaded zip file and place the contents in your site's mods folder. Navigate to your TNG Admin / Mod Manager to install the update mod. Other fixes will consist of replacements for MM files. Please follow the instructions for installing them.

Bug Fixes (Patches)

TNG version:

14.0.2

1. Mod mmFix01 TNGv14.0.2 only -- will not install on other versions. Fixes malfunctioning "Return to Mod Manager" button on the Options Editor page. Clicking on the button redirects the browser to a 404 Not Found page. Some users report that clicking on the button can crash the site. Make sure that the files modbase.class.php and modeditor.class.php in your 'classes' folder are the original files delivered with TNG14.0.2, and not files modified by any patch. Support for mmFix01

2. Replacement File mm_v14.0.3 Fix01 fixes errors when updating Mod Parameters. This is a replacement file. To install this fix, download the zip file to a temporary folder on your desktop, extract all files and folders into your temporary folder, then copy or FTP the extracted contents to your TNG root directory. Note: If you overcopy a TNG folder, for example classes with an updating folder named classes, only the updated files will be affected. Other files in the target folder will remain unchanged.

3. Mod mmFix_description_v1403.zip for TNGv14 versions 0 thru v14.0.3. Updates classes/modparser.class.php to restore functionality that interprets TNG variables $modspath and $extspath in the Mod Manager config file %description directive used by mods to provide links to files in the mods and extension folders.

4. Mod mm v14 all version Fix01 for TNGv14 versions 0 thru v14.0.3. Updates classes/modremover.class.php to correct log entries.
