Purpose of the mod

This Mod shows Latitude / Longitude N S E W. You need to be using degrees eg: -41.327312, 174.807598 (Wellington (NZ) International Airport Co-ordinates) when entering geolocation info for places, cemeteries, plots etc. Mod will show 41.327312° S, 174.807598° W. It does not alter anything in the Admin Editing Screens.
Mod DOES NOT determine if any data entries for Latitude/Longitude are correctly entered, it ONLY works with degrees as explained above.

Future possible Updates

I would like to look at including an option to use North, South, East, West, instead of N, S, E, W where appropriate. Would appreciate feedback via the TNG Forum if you are interested.

Requirements

• A working TNG installation v12.0 or higher.
• A backup of all affected files (see below)
• An installed current version of the Mod Manager.
• Both English and English-UTF8 folders be on your site. Other supported language folders/files are optional.

Conflicts

TNG v12.3

If you use OpenStreetMap it must be installed before installing the Lat-Long NSEW Mod. You must uninstall in the reverse order.

TNG v13.0 TNG v13.1

As of 4th November 2021 there have been no conflicts advised/found with v13.x Mods

Installation

1. Download the appropriate zip file as shown in the summary in the upper right corner of the page.
2. For v 12.x TNG Users: If you are intending to use the OpenStreetMap Mod you must install it first.
3. Extract the file from the downloaded zip file into the mods folder or FTP the extracted file to your mods folder.
4. Follow the normal automated installation for Mod Manager, as shown in the example Mod Manager - Installing Config Files to install the mod.

In the event of a problem

• Try using the Mod Manager Remove capability
• Copy the backup of the affected files back to your TNG directory
• TNG Community Forums: TNG Specific - Code Discussion - Addons

Uninstalling the mod

If you want to completely Remove (uninstall) this mod, you should

1. For v 12.x TNG Users: Make sure you uninstall BEFORE uninstalling the OpenStreetMap Mod
2. Click the Uninstall button to uninstall the mod and then
3. Click the Delete button to delete the config file from the mods folder.
