Ambox notice.png The Mods for TNG v9 category contains articles on changes made to the TNG software to change the behavior or the resulting page display specific to TNG V9.

With TNG V8 and above the preferred method for modifying TNG is to use the Mod Manager cfg files to install the Mods.

Since some of the mods include cust_text.php changes, you should not delete the English folder, which also contains the Admin Help files.
You should update the TNG Sites Using section of the mods you download and install on your site.

  • Parameter 'Maximum relationships' added in Mod Manager [Edit] after install.
    This setting only affects the relationship display on the individual's page and the chart display when the chart icon is clicked. Will not exceed the max relationships set in admin!
  • Modifies TNG's relationship.php instead of creating a chopped copy making it compatible with Relationship display (German and Portuguese) Mod
  • TNG V9 only.

Added parameters to edit in Mod Manager after installation.....

  • Captcha option (0=No captcha / 1=Use captcha).
  • Captcha file name (TNG_captcha.php).
  • Accepted extensions (jp?g|pdf|png|gif|doc|docx|odt). Change or add to. Note the separator used.

  • Addition of the UK Census collection also thanks to Janice Nation. The UK Collection includes the England, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, and Wales censuses.
  • Addition of the Census of Canada collection by Ken Roy and updated for the interactive viewer by Janice Nation
  • Several screens were updated to support the multi-language capability using a census_text.php file by Ken Roy.
  • Selection of the Census event was added by Janice Nation which now allows other Census Custom events besides the CENS - Census event to be used provided they contain census in the event description
  • Validation of the input transcript source was added by Ken Roy
  • Capability to directly assign a PersonID bypassing the search was added by Ken Roy
  • Transcript File was added as a direct search criterion to the AssignIDs screen and look4assignupdate.php
  • Summary count support for the 1830 and 1840 US Federal Census was added by Ken Roy

20 May 2013 Family Preview Mod UPDATE v9.0.0.2lb This mod adds a person preview on mouseover of a family member's name on an individual's page.
The popup content is limited by the browser window height only. For the most part all info for the person is visible. 		Jeff

v9.0.0.4 		Bugfix: the Dutch translation of the Click to hide and Click to display labels was not suited for being used by this mod. This version enables to have a custom text. This custom text is set by the language mod.
You only need this update if you want to get the Dutch text right. If you do update however you will have to update all the Person Map mods you're using.
Example: You cannot update the main mod and the Dutch language mod but keep using the 9.0.0.1 version of the French language mod.

Just a handy shortcut eliminating the need to use the 'Find' drop-menu to view the bookmarks page.
This mod adds a link to the bookmarks page to the top menu's 'left icons menu'.
The 'left icons menu' is in the top menu consisting of 'Home', 'Search' and 'Login' links.
